E.H. Smoler Consulting, Research for Agricultural Science Ltd., a laboratory for foroage and animal feed testing. We work hard to make the organization and our website accessible to people with disabilities in order to promote equal rights and transparency towards people with disabilities.

The essence of an accessible website

An accessible website is a website that allows a person with a disability to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, using the capabilities of the system on which it operates and through assistive technologies for accessibility.

Making accessibility adjustments to the website

The accessibility adjustments to the website were made in accordance with Mark C: Internet Services in the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to the Service) 2013, to the Israeli standard T.I. 5568 based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines, the website was made accessible to level [AA] and subject to changes and adjustments made to the Israeli standard document.
The website supports the use of assistive technologies such as screen reading software, Browsing with a keyboard by using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys to move between links, the arrow keys, the Enter key to select, the Esc key to exit menus and windows.
The site is regularly tested to ensure that the site is maintained accessible.

Accessibility measures available on the site:

  • Support for all standard browsers (such as Chrome, Explorer, FireFox, Opera, Mozilla).
  • The site content is written in clear language and readable fonts are used
  • The site structure is built from headings, paragraphs and lists
  • Navigating the site is simple and convenient and includes accessible and clear menus
  • The links on the site are clear and explain where they are taken after clicking on them
  • ​​Links at the top of the page that allow you to jump to the content
  • Textual description of images and icons for assistive technologies
  • Adapting the site to work environments with different resolutions (responsive)
  • Stop and play buttons for video galleries
  • ARIA rules have been implemented to help interpret the site content more accurately and better
  • Accessibility of menus, forms and fields, hierarchy of titles, tab elements, pop-ups and more

Changing the site display

  • You can increase or decrease the site display by clicking one of the “CTRL” buttons together with the mouse wheel or together with the “+” sign for increasing or together with the “-” sign for decreasing the display. Each click will reduce or enlarge the screen by ten percent (10%)
  • Changing the font size will be done using the accessibility menu found on the site
  • Surfers who do not have a mouse or who cannot use a mouse can activate the features found on the site by pressing the “TAB” key. Each click will move the cursor to the next option on the site
    Pressing the “Enter” key will activate the link on which the cursor is located
  • The site does not include flashing, flickering and moving content. In places where Such content can be stopped by standing on it and clicking the mouse or moving to it by pressing the “TAB” key and pressing the “Enter” key

Accessibility restrictions

The website management does everything possible to ensure that all pages displayed are accessible. However, there may be pages that have not yet been made accessible, or that have not yet found a suitable technological solution for their accessibility. In addition, it is possible that external advertisements, which have been inserted by business owners who advertise on the website, may not be fully or adequately accessible.
